Symptoms

When you generate a large Microsoft Word document using XIA Configuration Server you may notice that the page count in the footer is incorrect with the page count increasing while the document is open.



Cause

This occurs because of how Microsoft Word generates the NumPages field dynamically. For large documents this may take time for the document to fully load and the total number of pages to be calculated.



Resolution

This is behavior by design in Microsoft Word.
