Desktop Application Launcher

XIA Links Server is a time-saving desktop application launcher that makes it easy for users to quickly find and open relevant programs. Network administrators manage which applications are displayed to users across every computer on the network at once from a single location.

How can XIA Links help you?

XIA Links Server organises shortcuts to applications into one place so they can easily be found and launched by users. Applications can be grouped into categories making them easy to find on workstations with a large number of different programs. It is the perfect solution for those looking to replace Novell Application Launcher and works well in an educational establishment such as a school, college or university.

This video demonstrates the set-up and configuration of XIA Links Server including creating sections, applications, directories and web sites.

Advanced Application Configuration

Rockets about to launch

Unlike Group Policy Desktop redirection which cannot account for applications being installed in different locations on different machines, XIA Links Server allows you to configure multiple possible locations to an application to account for different install locations between machines and for multiple versions of an application on the same machine.

In addition to this, applications that are not found on a machine can be hidden from the user. Learn more >

Target Applications to specific users

Specify exactly which Active Directory Groups or computers you wish to receive application shortcuts.

Security can be assigned to allow or deny these targets. Learn more >

Our firm has used Novell Delivered Applications since 1999 and our users rely on it heavily for fast access to their most commonly used applications.

We were concerned about them losing that convenience when we eliminated Novell, but learned about XIA Links from an ILTA posting and it was the perfect replacement. We can structure their folders and view almost exactly as they appeared in Novell Delivered Applications and we know that will save us hundreds of helpdesk calls about trying to locate shortcuts!

Leaving Novell, we had to have a centralized management tool for shortcuts, links and URLs. XIA Links meets this need perfectly.

Adaptable, customizable and with responsive support this is precisely what we needed to optimize the management of our desktops.
