This tutorial describes how to bulk import users into Active Directory from CSV using XIA Automation.

In the XIA Automation Administration Tools, create a new automation profile and add the variables and tasks required to create users in Active Directory.

Create a CSV file with headers that match the variables defined in your Active Directory automation profile.
Note: Within a school environment, you can extract the data from SIMS using a simple report that exports directly to CSV.
Open XIA Automation Server, press the CSV Input button for your Create Active Directory User Account Automation Profile, then upload your CSV file. XIA Automation Server will automatically validate the contents of the CSV file and report any errors.
Press Start Profile to provision the users from the CSV file into Active Directory. The file import feature can be used to automate the process of importing CSV files.
CSV import can also be used to provision into Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and Google.
