Import Users into Active Directory from CSV in Bulk

Use our network task automation tool XIA Automation to import users into Active Directory from CSV.

A single CSV file can provision thousands of Active Directory users, groups and organizational units.

Use this feature to:

  • Provision user accounts onto a new network in bulk
  • Create a new intake year in Active Directory within a school network (e.g. from a CSV file exported from a school MIS such as SIMS)
Combine a CSV import with the Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange tasks to create all your accounts and mailboxes at once.

1. Create the CSV File

This can be done with Excel or a text editor such as notepad.

Note: Within a school environment, you can extract the data from SIMS using a simple report that exports directly to CSV.
