Use our server comparison tool XIA Configuration to compare Windows and Unix servers. Either compare the current setup of a server to previous versions or compare two different servers.
In this example, the current configuration of a Windows server is compared to a previous version to see what has changed.
To demonstrate this, firstly, the World Wide Web Publishing service is disabled in the services management console:
Then an ODBC data source server name is changed:
Once the Windows server has been scanned again by the XIA Configuration Client, it is compared with a previous version:
The results of the comparison are displayed in the XIA Configuration Server user interface. The changes made to the server can be seen in the differences detected:

The results can also be exported to XML and, for example, analysed in Microsoft Excel:
