XIA Configuration 2011 Released

CENTREL Solutions are proud to announce that XIA Configuration Server 2011 has now been released. The new version includes:

  • Support for WINS servers;
  • Ability to document database internals including stored procedures, tables and functions;
  • Improved item comparison including the ability to side by side compare text such as that found in T-SQL code;
  • Access Based Evaluation now allows items to be hidden in the organisational view from users, a powerful feature for IT support providers;
  • Improved support for Scheduled Tasks;
  • Improved support for shared folders and NTFS permissions;
  • Improved user interface for DNS services;
  • Enhanced branding experience.

XIA Links 1.9 Released

XIA Links v1.9 is now available for download. It includes updates to meet custom requirements for improved customisation and lock down:

  • Sections can now be nested within one another
  • You can configure the size of the main screen at startup
  • All "CENTREL Solutions" and "XIA" branding can now be replaced including the status bar text can now be customised to match the title bar
  • Help and tools menus can now be disabled
  • The "Show applications not found on this machine" can be disabled




XIA Links 1.8 Released

An update to XIA Links has now been released. This update includes:

  • Improved branding including the ability to configure the title bar of the application
  • The ability to configure the startup section
  • Improved administrator's guide and installation instructions
  • The ability to disable the close button

XIA Configuration 2011 Updated to Version 3.4

CENTREL Solutions are proud to announce that XIA Configuration Server 2011 has been updated with improved support for SQL Server clusters and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Also note that, to improve support for Windows 2008 R2 running with UAC, the XIA Configuration installer is now a setup.exe file rather than an MSI. The client and local client installation remain msi files for easy deployment.

SNMP data collector and MIB browser integrated

We are pleased to announce that we have integrated an SNMP data collector and MIB browser into XIA Configuration.

We are proud to announce the release of XIA Configuration Server version 7.1



XIA Configuration Server version 7.1 adds:

  • The ability to document Microsoft network load balancing (NLB) clusters.
  • The ability to document Citrix XenApp 6.0 and 6.5 farms.
  • The ability to document generic network devices that could not otherwise be scanned with the XIA Configuration Client.

XIA Links Version 2.0 Released

CENTREL Solutions are pleased to announce the availability of XIA Links version 2.0. The latest version of the desktop application launcher now provides support for offline users allowing for redundancy during a server or network outage as well as providing greatly improved support for laptop users.

Files are stored as compressed RSA signed XML files to minimise the footprint and to help tamperproof the configuration.


This release also includes the ability to lock down the application in a more refined way using Group Policy. This helps when using the application in a restricted kiosk style and when replacing Novell Application Launcher.
